A finely carved traditional spoon featuring a seated ancestor figure with arms crossed and resting on knees.  Presented on a custom display stand.   Medium-dark color hardwood with a rich varied patina turning a warm brown to black  The bowl of the spoon is beautifully shaped and tapers to a soft point.  A wonderful piece of art ready to be displayed.   Related examples can be seen in "People and Art of the Philippines" UCLA copyright 1981.
